Object Handling – Please touch!

Objects

Whether you are in a Health & Social Care lesson, an RPS lesson or a Maths lesson you get the opportunity to touch and discover real objects.  Some may be from 6000 years ago or it may be something from today.

Handling real objects gives students the chance to hold the past.  It allows imagination to flow and students can think about who may have used it, what was it used for and when would it have been used.
We have a selection of objects in our museum store but we also subscribe to the Reading Museum loan box scheme as well as loaning from other local museums and organisations.
