Young Health Champions Project
BackThe Young Health Champions (YHC) project, run by the Together as One charity, aims to raise awareness about mental health and how to manage it. By spreading this message, they hope to help young people better understand mental health, reduce stigma, and encourage seeking help when needed. Rosa Hopkins, Training Lead at Together as One, praised the three students representing The Langley Academy - Simi, Shana, and Gorav - for their outstanding contributions.
Simi has participated in creative workshops, while Gorav has been actively volunteering. All three have completed a two-day Mental Health First Aid course and are currently working on their final project, which involves creating and sharing a health improvement message. They are planning to deliver a workshop on transition and mental health to TLA Primary School students. Congratulations to our Young Health Champions!
