Clothing Collection

Term 2 at TLA has seen some of our Year 8 students collecting warm clothing for 600 local refugees supported by Aik Saath, in Slough.  We have worked closely with Aik Saath for many years and when they approached us, we wanted to support the work they were doing. 

Lakeisha 8Kumar, Daisha 8Herschel, and Lillian 8Simmons, supported brilliantly by Ms Kinch, lead a collection within our school community, asking parents and students to donate warm clothing.  

The final amount of clothes, children’s toys, games and even two brand new balance bikes, will go a very long way to helping families in need this winter and this Christmas. We are extremely proud of the girls for their hard work, tenacity and dedication to the collection, and I’m sure that the families that they are supporting are very grateful. Well done girls!
