As this academic year draws to a close, we have a huge amount to celebrate!

This week has seen the launch of The Fatal Football and Other Stories which has been written and produced by students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who have been working throughout the year with our Author in Residence, Seth Burkett. I don’t think any of us imagined how amazing the final book would look and how entertaining the stories would be! This is the result of Seth’s inspiration, encouragement and enthusiasm, not to mention his incredible editing skills, and a lot of hard work from all students involved.

It is also due to the fantastic illustrations and cover by Year 12 student, Vanessa (below), who joined the project late in the day and really came up trumps - we think she has a great future in illustration!

Our budding authors spent lunchtime signing copies and selling them to eager staff and fellow students who were so enthusiastic we sold out of our initial print run before the end of first lunch!
