Higher Education & Apprenticeship Fair

Year 11, 12 and 13 students had the opportunity to meet and talk to 30+ organisations at our second HE & Apprenticeship Fair. We had representatives from popular Universities including Oxford and Cambridge, Reading and the Windsor Forest College Group (WFCG) who offer HE courses as well as Escape Studios and UCFB who offer creative media and football studies respectively. Students could find out more about Apprenticeships from Heathrow Employment and & Skills Academy (K10), Thames Valley Construction Training Association, Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), The Army, Wates, Skillnet, WFCG and ASK Apprenticeships who brought along an apprentice working with Google. Year 11 had talks on apprenticeships and universities from CIOB/The Army and the University of Hertfordshire, while Skillnet gave a talk on apprenticeships to Year 9 students. Ubuntu Volunteers were present to give an insight into Gap Years and how they can help with personal development and skills before taking up a University place or going into the world of work.
